One Direction O2 Arena London Ticket sales herald in a global phenomenon

Sales of One Direction O2 Arena tickets to see international pop sensation One Direction (Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson) have sold so fast it has left even the most hardened showbiz industry professionals catching their breath. As news of the boys starting on their first Arena Tour hit the streets,One Direction London tickets flew out literally by the hundreds of thousands an hour and it rapidly became apparent that new dates would have to be announced.

More dates were added to the original 15 UK venues to cope with the over-whelming demand. One Direction Ticket sales were reported to be amazing that morning. Following announcements that they would tour New Zealand and Australia with 18 shows, tickets for the NZ leg sold out within 10 minutes! A USA a planned whistle-stop tour also had to be extended with a further 9 shows being added, thus firmly securing the Brit-Irish band’s place as an iconic boy band, talked of now as “the new Beatles”.

The group’s unbelievable success and popularity with over 3.35 million people Googling One Direction Tickets each month, reflects how the band differs from stereotypical boy bands in that they mix up their music and generally put their own stamp on things. This is, indeed, no formulaic band. There’s genuine talent and individual personality there and they are genuinely nice guys, all of which accounts for their huge charismatic charm and appeal. Their upcoming DVD: Up All Night – The Live Tour set for release 28 May 2012 includes songs from the eponymous album and five covers including I Gotta Feeling, Stereo Hearts, Valerie, Tom and Use Somebody; it, too, is bound to be a sell-out as soon as it hits the shelves.

Brit Pop boy band, One Direction, first hit the headlines as X Factor finalists in 2010 when over 15 million people cast their votes. Their No. 1 hit last year “What makes you Beautiful” made them world famous, winning “Best British Single” at The Brit Awards. This, together with their multi-platinum debut album “Up All Night”, the fastest selling debut album of 2011, has turned them into one of the hottest bands to emerge on the music scene since the creation of the X Factor show.

It’s all gone off so big even One Direction must be wondering just how big can it get? For a bunch of lads only 18 – 20 years old they are coping with such fame remarkably well and, true to say, it is a dead cert that there will probably be as many a weeping fan outside the O2 Arena when they take to the big stage early next year as there were whenever The Beatles toured back in the day.

One Direction O2 Arena tickets have sold out fast; it’s already rumoured that the show there will be one that goes down in history as the one you had to be at. Watch this space.
